Found in central eastrern Madagascar in humid, evergreen forests on plateau at elevations of 100 to 1300 meters as a medium sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with 1.6" [4 cm] between each cylindrical-conical, 4 angled pseudobulb carrying 2, apical, oblong-ligulate, obtuse, slightly attenuate towards the base leaves that blooms in the later spring on an erect, rigid, peduncle provided with 4 to 5 sheaths, rachis 2.8" [7 cm] long, 16" [40 cm] long overall, cylindrical densely many flowered inflorescence withoval, obtuse, lower ones almost as long as the flowers floral bracts..
