Found in central and north western Madagascar in humid evergreen forests on tree trunks at elevations of 900 to 1500 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with 3/8" between each conical, dark green to red brown pseudobulb and carrying a single, apical, erect, lanceolate-obtuse, attenuate from the center to the base leaf and blooms in the spring and summer on a 10" [25 cm] long, arched, many flowered inflorescence holding the flowers above the leaf
