Found in central Madagascar in humid evergreen forests at elevations of 1000 to 1500 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool growing epiphyte with 4 angled pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, narrowly oblong leaves that blooms in the fall on a basal, erect, rachis longer than the peduncle, laxly 20 to 40 flowered inflorescence.
