Found in central Madagascar in humid evergreen forests at elevations of 1000 to 1500 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool growing epiphyte with elongate, narrowly ovate, brilliant yellow orange, 5 angled pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, narrowly oblong to oblanceolate, longly attenuate into the shortly petiolate base leaves that blooms in the fall on a basal, erect, rachis longer than the peduncle, peduncle 1.6 to 3.2” [4 to 8cm] long, provideed with 6 to 7 adpressed sheaths, 2 to 3 times longer than the leaves overall, 9.6 to 22.8” [24 to 57 cm] long, sinuate, laxly 20 to 40 flowered inflorescence with narrow, subacute, mostly half as long as the ovary floral bracts.
