Found in New Guinea on trees in range forests at elevations around 1100 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing, epiphyte with conical-cylindrical pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect to suberect, narrowly ligulate, minutely apiculate, narrowing below into the narrow sub-petiolate base leaf that blooms in the early summer on an erect , very short, single flowered inflorescence.

The flowers are whitish with red veins and the lip is red with a yellow apex.
