Found in penninsular Malaysia in fairly exposed montane forests at elevations around 1500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome with .18" [4.5 mm] between each ovoid, purple in youth, green in maturity pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic, obtuse, green above, purple with a green midvein becoming green with age below, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a pendulous, peduncle to .4" [1 cm] long, provided with 2 scales, rachis to .28" [7 mm] long, loosely 6 flowered inflorescence with triangular, acute, longer than the ovary floral bracts.
