Common Name The Cloud-Loving Bulbophyllum

Found in New Guinea on trees in upper range forests at elevations around 2500 meters as a small sized, cold growing epiphyte with adnate to the rhizome pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect-patent, ligulate, obtuse, narrowing below into the leaf that blooms in the later spring on an erect, very short to .4” [1 cm], single flowered inflorescence with very small, much shorter than the ovary floral bracts.

The flowers are white, the petals have a central rose red streak and the lip is red with a white tip at the base.
