Found in Queensland Australia as a miniature sized, unifoliate, epiphytic or lithophytic species at elevations of 400 to 1200 meters in cloud forests on trees and rocks with dense clumps of crowded, flask shaped, dark green pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, fleshy, stalked, dark green leaf that blooms in the spring on a stout, basal, 2 3/4" [7 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence that holds the nodding flower amid the leaves.
Grow this species in a pot or basket with warm to cool temperatures, light shade and regular waterings.
