Common Name The Worm-Like Rhizome Bulbophyllum

Flower Size

Found in New Guinea on trees in range forests at elevations around 1200 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing, epiphyte with 1.8 to 2.8" [4.5 to 7 cm] between each ovoid pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect, narrowly oblong-ligulate, obtuse, narrowing below into the leaf that blooms in the late fall and early winter on an erect, setiform, .68 to 1" [1.7 to 2.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.

The flowers are whitish with a red lip.
