Found in New Caledonia on mossy rocks and mossy trees in damp tree covered areas at elevations around 900 meters as a creeping, small sized, cool growing epiphyte or lithophyte with quadrangular pseudobulbs carrying a single round to elliptic, apically unequally bilobed, abruptly narrowing below into the base leaf that blooms in the spring on a short, single flowered inflorescence
