Found in Madagascar in humid evergreen forests at elevations around 1000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with orbicular pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, linear-oblanceolate, apiculate leaf that blooms in the summer on a basal, erect, thin, 4 to 6" [10 to 15 cm] long, 6 to 21 flowered inflorescence with obtuse, 1/3 as long as the pedicel floral bracts.
