Found in New Guinea in forests at elevations around 150 to 200 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with minute, ovoid to suborbicular pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, narrowly elliptic-ligulate, acute, narrowing below into the base leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, setiform, single flowered inflorescence with a few bracts and a cucullate floral bract
