Found in Yunnan province of China and Thailand in forests at elevations of 1000 to 1300 meters as a miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte or lithophyte with up to 1" [2.5 cm] between each close, ovoid to broadly conic pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic, obtuse, contracted below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on an elongate, erect to spreading, rather lax, 6" to 19.8" [15 to 49 cm] long, 13 to 32 flowered inflorescence with about 5 bracts and triangular, acuminate, shorter than the ovary floral bracts
