Found in Sulawesi in in deep gullies within secondary vegetation, on limestone boulders at elevations of 1400 to 1700 meters as a small to medium sized, warm to cool growing lithophyte with .8" [2 cm] betweeen each, close set, ovoid pseudobulbs carrying a single, elliptic to obovate, petiolate base leaf that blooms on an erect, to 18.8" [to 47 cm] long, successively single to 4 flowered inflorescence
