Found in Sabah Borneo in upper montane forests at elevations around 2000 to 3000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome with .12 to .24" [.3 to .6 cm] between each ovoid to ellipsoid, flattened pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, rather thin, ovate to elliptic, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring and summer on a 2.8" [7 cm] long overall, peduncle 2" [5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with tubular, much shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying entirely orange-yellow, non-fragrant flowers.
