Found in Yunnan province of China in dense forests on trees at elevations of 1300 to 1500 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, round-oval leaf that blooms in the fall and winter on a from the rhizome, to 3.2" [8 cm] long, provided with 2 to 3 tubular sheaths, one basal, the others above, drooping, sparsely many flowered inflorescence.
