Found in northern and south central Madagascar on rocky outcrops amongst mosses at elevations of 2000 to 2400 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, cold growing lithophyte with .6 to .8" [1.5 to 2 cm] between each cylindrical pseudobulb carrying 2, apical, oblong-ligulate leaves that blooms in the fall on an erect, fleshy, 4.42 to 5" [11.5 to 12.5 cm] long, very densely to 50 flowered inflorescence carrying fidely papillose flowers.
