Found in New Guinea in primary mist forests on large trees at elevations of 440 to 1000 meters as a miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with close set, cylindrical pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, linear to linear-ligulate, apiculate leaf that blooms in the winter and summer on a short, single flowered inflorescence with very small, much shorter than the pedicellate ovary floral bracts.
