Common Name The Folded Paper Bulbophyllum [refers to the folded lip that reminds one of the Japanese art of Origami]

Found in Papua New Guinea in primary forests at elevations of 2000 to 2200 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome giving rise to clustered, ovoid pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic, obtuse to acute, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring and summer on a basal, 1.2 to 3" [3 to 7.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with a tubular, acute to acuminate, mucxh shorter than the ovary floral bract.
