Found in western New Guinea in lower montane forests at elevations around 750 to 970 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm growing epiphyte with a long creeping rhizome giving rise to erect, .8 to 1.6" [2 to 4 cm] between each, cylindrical, basally thickened pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, lanceolate, acuminate, acute, subfalcate, base narrowed, dorsally keeled, channelled below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms from the base of the pseudobulbs, slender, peduncle 14" [35 cm] log, rachis 2.4" [6 cm] long, successively single, several flowered inflorescence with up to 12, clasping, cup-shaped with a long tooth floral bracts.
