Flower Size 1.2 to 2" [3 to 5 cm]
Found in the Solomon Islands, New Caledonia, Tonga, Fiji and Samoa in montane scrub and forests at elevations of 300 to 1600 meters as a small to medium sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with a somewhat elongate rhizome with close spaced, obliquely ovoid pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, oblong-elliptic, broadly acute, narrowly petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring and again in the summer on an erect, racemose, slender, terete, 8.8 to 16" [22 to 40 cm] long, laxly and sequentialy 2 to 4 flowered inflorescence with 3 to 4 widely spaced sheaths and broadly ovate, acuminate floral bracts.
