Found in Sumatra and Borneo at elevations of 500 to 1600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to distinct, almost erect, globose to ovoid, not angular pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic-oblong to ovate, acute-apiculate, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms on a .48 to 1.08" [1.2 to 2.7 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.
