Found in east central Madagascar in wet montane forests at elevations around 1000 to 1400 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with a creeping, subulate to ensiform rhizome with .16 to .2" [4 to 5 mm] between each orbicular pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic to obovate, acute leaf that blooms in the summer on an erect, .52 to .72" [1.3 to 1.8 cm] long, rachis .08 to .12" [2 to 3 mm] long, zig zag, not thickened, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence
