Common Name The Phreatia-Like Bulbophyllum

Found in eastern New Guinea in primary forests at elevations of 1300 to 1500 meters as a small sized, cool growijg epiphyte with 1.6 to 7.6" [4 to 19 cm] between each ovoid, not laterally flattened pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic, obtuse, 1.2 to 2.2" [3.5 to 5.5 cm long, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect to arching, peduncle with 8 to 11 bracts, rachis 2.8 to 5.2" [7 to 13 cm] long, 10.8 to 14" [27 to 35 cm] long overall, 40 to 55 flowered inflorescence with ovate, acute, shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying many simultaneously opening, secund, widely opening flowers
