Found in the Papua New Guinea in lower montane forest as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a pendulous rhizome covered with coarsely ribbed grayish sheaths and giving rise to ovoid, .8" [2 cm] between each, sharply quadrangular in cross-section pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, oblong, acute, almost sessile base leaf that blooms on very short, single flowered inflorescence with as long as the ovary floral bracts.
