Found in Minas Gerais state of Brazil at elevations around 600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome giving rise to ovate-teragonal, green pseudobulbs enveloped by scarious sheaths and carrying a single, apical, green, terete, erect, rigid, attenuate and canaliculate below into the base leaf that blooms in the spring on a basal, erect, rigid, to 2” [5 cm] long, successively single, 2 flowered inflorescence with persistent, cream colored, triangular, acute, partially enveloping the dorsal sepal floral bracts and carrying patent, resupinate flowers.
