Common Name The Feathery Bulbophyllum

Flower Size .6" [1.5 cm] wide

Found in Sao Paulo, Rio Grande do Sul, Goias, Minas Gerais and Espirito Santo states of Brazil as a mini-miniature sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with clustered, ovoid to sub rounded pseudobulbs carrying a sdingle apical, erect, coriaceous, oblong, acute, rounded into the base leaf that blooms in the summer and fall on a basal, erect, to 6" [15 cm] long, nutant, few flowered inflorescence.

The species is similar to both B. dusenii and B. gladiatum, differing from both by the presence of transverse beams in the callus groove. It also differs from B. dusenii by the floral scape larger than the rachis and by the median lobe of the oblanceolate lip and from B. gladiatum by the median glabrous or sparsely hairy lobe.
