Common Name The Small Cup Bulbophyllum [refers to the flower shape]
Flower Size .16" [4 mm]
Found in Sabah Borneo in montane forests at elevations of 1000 to 2100 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing, hanging epiphyte with close set, cylindrical, not flattened pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, pendent, thick, ovate to elliptic, acute, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms at most any time of the year on a basal, horizontal, 1/2" [1.25 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with ovate floral bracts and flowers that have no scent.
Similar to B ceratostylis but differs in the hanging plant and the general shape of the flowers. Vermuellen notes that this is a provisional determination and may turn out to be just a synonym of B ceratostylis.
