Common Name The Folded Margin Bulbophyllum [refers to the lip margin]

Found in eastern New Guinea at elevations of 2500 to 3000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome giving rise to ovoid pseudobulbs and carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic, acute, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall and winter in nature and in the spring in cultivation on a basal, to 5.2" [to 13 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with tubular, acuminate floral bracts.
