Common Name The Boxing Glove Bublophyllum
Flower Size .4" [1 cm]
Found in Borneo in lower to upper montane to riverine forests at elevations of 1200 to 2400 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing, pendent epiphyte with .2" [5 mm] between each cylindrical pseudobulb enveloped by several, elliptic, pale brown, scarious, acute sheaths becoming fibrous with age and carrying a single apical, semiterete, sulcate, shallowly v-shaped in cross section, acute, fleshy, dark green, straight to gently curved leaf that blooms in the spring and fall arising on the side and partly adnate to the pseudobulb, .4" [1 cm] long, successively single to 8 flowered inflorescence
Very similar to B ceratostylis but it has smaller flowers with a different lip.
