Common Name The Stinging Pointed Leaf Bulbophyllum [refers to the leafs sharp apex]

Found in Java and New Guinea on trees in forests at elevations around 1000 to 2300 meters as a mini-miniature to small sized, warm to cold, pendent growing epiphyte with .4 to 1" [1 to 2.5 cm] between each small, cylindrical, adpressed to the rhizome pseduobulb carrying a single, apical, subulate to lanceolate-ligulate, pungent-acute apically, narrowing below into the narrow, subpetiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on very short, all along the rhizome, single to rarely 2 flowered inflorescence with cucullate, two times as long as the ovary floral bracts
