Found in New Guinea at elevations of 800 to 1300 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with oblong pseudobulbs and carrying a single, apical, erect, ligulate, obtuse, narrowing below into the attenuate base leaf that blooms in the late spring summer and fall and on a basal, .6 to 1" [1.5 to 2.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with tubular acuminate floral bracts.
