Found in Madagascar in coastal forests on plateau at elevations of sea level to 500 meters as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with orbicular to ovoid pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, elliptic-oblong leaves that blooms in the spring on a basal, erect, rachis 2.8 to 6" [7 to 15 cm] long, 12 to 16" [30 to 40 cm] long, conical,many flowered inflorescence with large, longer than the flowers floral bracts held in 4 rows.
