Found in Sulawesi in the understory of low montane mossy forests on limestone and serpentine bedrock at elevations of 1100 to 1200 meters as a small sized, warm growing epiphyte with clustered, erect to patent, sparsely branching rhizomes giving rise to an ovoid, not angular, finely grooved pseudobulb with persistent sheaths and carrying a single, ovate, acute, gradually narrowing below into the short, petiolate base leaf that blooms on a porrect [.5 to 1.05 cm] long, single to 2 to 4 flowered inflorescence with acuminate floral bracts.
