Found only in Borneo in lowland forests, high forests and forests on limestone, in moss and dry decaying leaf litter or on decaying logs at elevations of 100 to 400 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte or terrestrial with a creeping rhizome with 1 3/4" to 6 3/4" [4.5 to 17 cm] between each, cylindrical, flattened pseudobulb and carrying a single, apical, thin, elliptic, medium green, petiolate leaf that blooms in the spring, summer and winter on a basal, 4 1/8" to 6 1/8" [11 to 16 cm] long, 5 to 8 flowered inflorescence with ellitic to ovate floral bracts and carrying somewhat fragrant [mossy] flowers..
