Found in Sumatra at elevations around 1525 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a chain of ovate to orbicular when viewed from above, apically curved pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, fleshy, lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate, acute leaf that blooms in the late summer and early fall on an erect, arising from beneath the pseudobulb, peduncle, filiform, .52" [1.3 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence
Similar to B ovalifolium but differs in the long oar-shaped lateral sepals and the spathulate petals.
