Common Name The Crawling Bulbophyllum [refers to the habit of the plant and flowers] - In China Fu Sheng Shi Dou Lan
Flower Size .4" [1 cm]
Found in Hainan, Guangxi, Yunnan and southeastern Xizang China, Sikkim, Bhutan, Assam, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam on margins of sunny montane forests or on moss covered rocks at elevations of 1000 to 2800 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte or occasional lithophyte with a branched, creeping rhizome with 2 to 3.6" [5 to 9 cm] between each ovoid to ovoid-conical pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, coriaceous, linear to narrowly oblong, acute, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring and fall on an erect, basal, slender, to to 4" [to 10 cm] long, few to several [3 to 6] flowered inflorescence.
