This hot growing, unifoliate, lithophytic species is found in Borneo in hill forests on limestone in lowlands and has reticulated, lined leaves, oblong to ovoid psuedobulbs that are spaced far apart on the rhizome, and a short, 2 flowered inflorescence with large sheathing bracts that bears fleshy, fragrant flowers arising in the summer and fall.
