Found in New Guinea on trees in montane forests at elevations around 450 meters as a miniature to small sized, hot growing epiphyte with narrowly cylindrical pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly ligulate, minutely apiculate, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a basal, short, single flowered inflorescence
