Common Name Rinke's Bubophyllum [American Orchid Enthusiast current]

Flower Size .44 to .48" [1.1 to 1.2 cm]

Found in Papua New Guinea without locational or elevational data as a mini-miniature sized epiphyte with a creeping, sprouting from a node below the pseudobulb, not fused with the pseudobulbs rhizome with chartaceous, persistent rhizome scales giving rise to close together, obliquely erect, ovoid, slightly angular pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, coriaceous, narrowly elliptic, acute, minutely retuse apex, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the later spring on a solitary, peduncle 1.2 to 2.53" [3 to 6.3 cm] long, provided with 4 scale bracts, 1.68 to 3" [4.2 to 7.5 cm] long overall, single flowered inflorescence with an infundibulbar, shorter than the ovary floral bract.
