Found in Sarawak, Borneo and Java at elevations around 1700 meters in mossy montane forests low down on tree trunks as a minniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome with .16" [.4 cm] between each ovoid, slightly compressed pseudobulb and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, thick, ovate to elliptic, medium green, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter on a 5 to 30 flowered, [3" 7.5 cm] long inflorescence with triangular floral bracts and unscented flowers
