Common Name The Red Bulbophyllum

Flower Size .4” [1 cm] long

Found in lowland tropical bogs of Madagascar at elevations around sealevel to 300 meters as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with an ovoid, obtuse towards both ends, 4-flat-angled pseudobulb carrying 2 apical, lanceolate and shortly attenuate to the base leaves leaves that blooms in the winter through spring on a 10 3/4" [27 cm] long, enveloped by 12 sheaths inflorescence and carrying a loose rachis with 15 to 30 flowers with papery, reddish, triangular acute bracts that are longer or just shorter than the flower.
