Found in Papua New Guinea in range forests at elevations around 1300 to 1800 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a very short rhizome giving rise to very small, ovoid pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, oblong-elliptic, obliquely apiculate, attenuate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late fall, winter and early spring on an erect, 2.8" [7 cm] long, provided with a few small, distant peduncle-scales, successively single, laxly 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence with elliptic-cucullate, shortly acuminate, more than two times shorter than the ovary floral bracts.

Schlechter states that the flowers are yellow green with red brown markings.
