Found in New Guinea in range forests at elevations around 1300 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with small, ovoid pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, oblong-elliptic, obliquely apiculate, attenuate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late fall and early winter on an erect, 2.8" [7 cm] long, laxly 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence with elliptic-cucullate, shortly acuminate floral bracts.

Schlechter states that the flowers are yellow green with red brown markings.
