Found in Papua New Guinea at elevations of 2000 meters as a miniature sized plant that is small sized in bloom, cool to cold growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome with .24 to .8" [.6 to 2 cm] between each ovoid, not flattened pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, semi-terete, acute apically, shortly petiolate base leaf that blooms in the later fall and again in the spring on a single, peduncle 4 to 8" [10 to 20 cm] long, with 4 to 5 bracts, 5.2 to 9.6" [13 to 24 cm] long overall, rachis erect to arching, distinctly zig zag bent, .96 to 1.8" [2.4 to 4.5 cm] long, simultaneously 8 to 18 flowered inflorescence with elliptic, acute apically floral bracts and carrying wide opening, flowers with brownish sepals with greenish yellow margins,greenish yellow petals and a greenish brown with a yellow tip.
