Found in central Madagascar in humid, mossy, evergreen forests at eleavtions of 1300 to 1400 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with clustered, subglobose pseudobulbs carrying 2 apical, spreading, elliptic to sub-orbicular leaves that blooms in the spring on a basal, 1.8 to 2.4" [4.5 to 6 cm] long, 1 to 5 flowered inflorescence
