evergreen to shrub forests, at elevations of 1000 to 2500 meters as a miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with close set, depressed conical to lenticular pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, linear, subacute, basally narrowing into the channeled petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring and summer on a basal, peduncle 2 to 5.4" [5 to 13.2 cm], provided with
c. 4 bracts, rhachis not thickened, .88 to 4.4" [2.2 to 11 cm] long, just exceeding leaf height, successively several, 8 to 23 flowered inflorescence with triangular, acute to acuminate, shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying distichous toscattered, resupinate, secund, not fully opening flowers..
