Found in Yunnan province of China and Laosin mixed broadleaved and coniferous forests at elevations around 500 meters as a mini=miniatuire sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with globoseclustered pseusobulbs carrying a single, elliptic to elliptic ovoid, unequally bilobed apically, shortly petiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter and early spring on a basal, peduncle .36 to .44" [.9 to 1.2 cm] long, with 2 tubular, membraneous, acute sheaths, rachis short .08 to .1" [2 to 2.5 mm] long, sub-umbellate, 4 to 6 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate, as long as the ovary floral bracts and carrying sweetly scented flowers.
