Found in the New Guinea in lower range forests at elevations around 800 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with a cauliform rhizome giving rise to cylindrical-conical pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, linear, acute, semiterete leaf that blooms in the later winter and early spring on a short, single flowered inflorescence with half as long as the ovary floral bracts.

Schlechter states that the flowers are white.
