Found in Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Burma, Malaysia, Sulawesi, the Molouccas, Sumatra, Borneo, New Guinea, Java, the Philippines and Fiji in evergreen lowland forests on terminal branches and twigs in the upper canopy at elevations around 1000 meters as a cool to warm growing epiphyte on trees in open forest with a long fractiflex rhizome that has far spaced psuedobulbs with a very very short, erect, inflorescence carrying single flowers arisding along and held close to the rhizome in between the psuedobulbs occuring in the summer and fall.
