Found from the lowlands of Singapore and Johore Malaysia and also in Borneo at elevations of sea level to 500 meters as a small to medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with a thick sheath covered rhizome with 4" [10 cm] between each, slightly flattened, cylindrical pseudobulb carrrying a single apical, narrowly linear, acute, basally conduplicate leaf that blooms in the fall on a very short, basal, several to many flowered inflorescence arising on a mature pseudobulb and carrying very foul smelling, wide open flowers
