Found in New Guinea at elevations of 1300 to 1800 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with erect, elliptic-ligulate, apiculate, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late spring on a basal, short to 1.4" [3.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence

This species was collected at 6500' in elevation in Tep Tep, Madang Province, New Guinea and has a basal, slender single flowered inflorescence holding the flower at mid leaf.
